Sarai: AP Test

May 6th, 2012

Soooo, the AP test is coming soon. The first time I came into this class I was really scared and nervous because it was going to be a challenging class. I really thought that I was going to struggle and not do what I need to do in order to maintain a good grade. I started the class well and maintained a good grade. I never thought that I would have a good grade. Doing all my work and turning it in on time paid off. I am not finishing with a good grade. Other than that, I learned a lot and with all the knowledge I have learned I will use it when it comes to the AP test. I have learned a lot in this class and I am confident when it comes to the test. I know I will do a great job if I put all my effort into this test. The score I want is a 4 at least. I have learned a lot and I also believe that everyone in this class learned a lot. Not only did we learn a lot be we all grown within ourselves and each other. I know that we will all do a great job and I know that we can do it! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE AND I KNOW WE CAN DO IT!!

My motivation is my great grandma. She is my second mother who is always there for me whenever I need someone. She has always told me since I was younger to do good in school and to stay in school. She has always motivated me to do good in school and to put effort in my education. She is very strong and passionate about life. I know what I want in life and she is my motivation to get to where I want. I love my great grandma and I know she will give me the strength to pass this test with a good score.

Sarai: The Awakening!!

March 4th, 2012

The Awakening is a pretty good book! So far I do like the book. I started off really liking it. Also, I was excited and ready to start a new book. So far what I like about it is that it is easy to understand. The characters are also pretty cool. I am not really into Edna because she always sounds sad. If she doesn’t like her husband, then what’s the whole point of being with him? The start of the book is ok but hopefully it gets better. Good thing is that I’m reading! I’m also proud of my annotations :)

Sarai: 3 freakin’ hours!! OMG.

February 26th, 2012

OMG I do not even know where to start. This took forever. I wasted 3 hours of my Saturday to do something important. If I really want to pass this test, I needed to take this test. I actually felt happy and proud because I did the test. I did not like the writing part. I kept getting stuck, but I had to get through it. I didn’t give up, which I was really proud of. Also I was happy I took my time to do it and did it the way it needed to be done. I’m ready for this AP test!!!

Sarai: Positives and negatives in my life right now

February 12th, 2012

At this moment, I am really happy and I am enjoying life! I’m really excited because Leadership Girls Soccer is starting this Wednesday. I am really excited to play and finish my last year strong!

A negative thing is my grade need to get higher than what it is right now. I was doing well, and I need to get back into that mood. I know I am capable of doing it, and I know I will. I’m going to finish this year positive and not negative! :)

Sarai: Scarlet Letter

January 22nd, 2012

The Scarlet Letter can mean many things but we are just in the beginning, basicly in the middle of the novel, which means we are not done so there are many other symbolism of the Scarlet Letter. At first the Scarlet Letter was a bit confusing. I really did not understand it but then I really focused on the book and what where the meanings to everything going on. The Scarlet Letter has many symbolism’s but since we are only in the middle we are not sure on what else the novel will give us.
The Scarlet Letter was something I wondered about. I was ask myself what does it mean? Does it mean “Affect” or what is the point of it? When I started reading the novel I was starting to learn about how Hester did something she was not suppost to. When she was caught they asked her to put the Letter A on her chest. Ever since then it symbolized the damage she created and how she made women look bad. Now that we are at the beginning I feel that the Scarlet Letter signifies how she has created mistakes but learns from them and just moves on. I feel that the Letter A just gives her more power into doing whatever she wants for herself and her daughter. In the end of the book i’m pretty sure my mind will change but from now on this is what I see the Scarlet letter as.

Sarai: Siddhartha?!?!?!?

November 8th, 2011

Siddhartha??? Hmmmm? First, I was really confused, and I was not sure about who he was and the kind of person he is. As I started to read more and talked to my peers about the book, I was getting the hang of it. Siddhartha is trying to find himself where he wants to be happy where he knows that he has what he wants.

Also I was wondering maybe later in the book if he would appreciate what he has and the kind of person he is going to be as he realizes what he has. Siddhartha also seems like he does not know where to go with his life. I think he needs someone to guide him!! Isero, can you guide him?! :) Hopefully, this book gets better as I read it.

Sarai: My Fantastic/Aggressive Weekend!

September 25th, 2011

I do not even know where to start! On Saturday, I went to my friend’s quince by Brisbane, and of course my family and I are always late to parties. So we were not able to get there for the food, and I was STARVING!! Of course, us MEXICANS love to party, so of course we got our dance on with Vladi, Ellie, Seli, Diana, JJ, and a bunch of other sophomores dancing and going crazy to a live banda, and it was sooo much fun!

Throughout the night, it was so funny because Ellie kept telling me how cute this one guy was and how badly she wanted to dance with him, lol…Then when I was sitting next to my mom and aunt, I was bugging them, and then some guy came up to me and asked me to dance with him. My mom pushed me towards him and told me to leave her alone. So I danced with this guy, and while I was dancing with him, my aunt and mom started to make fun of me because my feet were killing me because of my heels. After the party was over, everybody was taking pictures that lasted almost an hour. I finally got home and I knocked out!

Today is Sunday and I had to wake up at 11:15 to go to my soccer game at Santa Clara against Santa Clara. First half was a great half because we were tied and played like a team. Then second half started and all of our players got hurt and everyone was just tired. It’s like we didn’t have a team anymore because everybody was hurt and tired, so we lost :( And that was the first game we lost.

Then I ate In N Out with my parents and then headed to my second game in Hayward. When I arrived, one of my teammates and I were talking about how we did not want to play because we were so tired and hurt from the first game. We started making up funny excuses to not play. Laura said that her finger was messed up and she was not able to play, and the coach looked at her and said that good, maybe you can poke someone in the eyeball so they won’t be able to see.

Then my other teammate comes out of nowhere and says that the coach from the other team is cute and my other coach started to make fun of her. This game was so aggressive, funny and intense. First 5 minutes, we scored and from then on, we kept scoring that the other team was getting mad. One of my teammates got pushed that she flew so high and landed on the floor that she was so mad and ready to knock someone out. From then on, the game got so aggressive that everyone wanted to start fighting. One of my friends said that she needed to go to church because she was being mean to people. The game finished and yes we won!

My weekend was great and I can’t wait to have another great weekend! If anyone is having a party soon, make sure to contact me! :)
