Jeremy Lin is great.
I like him because he’s a great basketball player.
Plus, he went to Harvard and graduated with a degree in Economics. (I like Harvard.)
He’s also the fourth Asian-American player in pro basketball and the first-ever Chinese-American.
He’s from the Bay Area.
At Palo Alto High School, he was a star, but he didn’t receive any scholarship offers, though Stanford and UCLA expressed interest.
In fact, most everybody overlooked him.
Instead, he went to Harvard (which doesn’t give out athletic scholarships) after earning an excellent GPA and SAT score. Grit!
