I choose to read this article because I had already heard of of Invisible Children and Kony 2012.  I wanted to see if they supported Invisible Children or not.
A lot of people supported Invisible Children by promoting Kony 2012. Â The campaign tries to raise awareness of Joseph Kony’s crimes in Uganda, but they were misinformed because he and the LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army) are not even active there anymore. This article mentions this as well.
The article states other’s views specifically concerning a picture of the Invisible Children founders posing with guns with part of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army.  Glenna Gordon, the photographer of the controversial picture, was interviewed. She spoke of the negative side of Invisible Children.
I think this article teaches everyone to research about organizations (which may have good intentions) before they bandwagon with everyone else because there may be better ways to support their cause.
